Frequently asked questions
What are the admission requirements?
For Occupational Certificates and Skills Programmes you need Grade 9 – 12 (or equivalent), be 16 years or older, a certified copy of your ID or passport, and proof of residence. For NC(V) programmes you need Grade 9 – 12, a certified copy of your ID or passport and proof of residence. Requirements can vary per programme — contact us if you are unsure.
How do I apply?
You can apply online on this website in about 10 minutes, download and complete the printable application form and email it to us, or visit our campus at 72 Pritchard Street, Hilson House, Johannesburg, and our admissions team will help you.
Which documents do I need?
Certified copies of your ID or passport and your latest academic results or certificate, proof of residence (not older than 3 months), two passport-size photos, and a medical certificate if applicable.
How long are the programmes?
Trade and Non-Trade Occupational Certificates take 3 years. NC(V) programmes run over 3 years (Level 2, 3 and 4). QCTO Skills Programmes are short courses of 3 to 6 months.
Are your programmes accredited?
Yes. Pinnacle Technical Academy is accredited and recognised by the QCTO, DHET, Umalusi, merSETA, MICT SETA and APPETD. Ask our admissions office for the accreditation details of the specific programme you are interested in.
How much are the fees?
Fees depend on the programme. We keep our fees affordable and can help you explore funding and financial support options. Contact our admissions office or WhatsApp us for the current fee structure.

Yes. We help prospective students explore available study funding and financial support, and we offer accommodation assistance for students who need it.
Can I apply if I only have Grade 9?
Yes. Most of our programmes accept students with Grade 9 to Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
